GLOBAL FREIGHT OPTIMISATION & SAFETY MODULE INNOVATION
A safer alternative to traditional freight linehauls is crucial across heavy industry. Many legacy systems suffer from inadequate lashing point ratings and a lack of formal compliance and certification, leaving traditional flat racks and linehaul setups overdue for an upgrade.
A smarter approach to freight logistics solutions is now essential to reduce costs and free up trucks and trailers without increasing risk. DAYWALK addresses this by enabling components to be pre-loaded and restrained before the truck and trailer arrive, creating a safer, more efficient environment for on-site operations and yard storage.
Part of DAYWALK’s range of certified transport frames, FREIGHT-RAK® is a proven heavy freight transport system designed to offset staff workloads. Loads can be restrained at ground level without guesswork, removing the need to climb or engage in unsafe practices and avoiding restrictions caused by loading docks, zones or time-consuming constraints.
Freight-Rak® has a pre-installed, world-leading, tracking system and online platform so you can see where your freight is at any stage. Contact DAYWALK for details and access.
The modular base features an optional Easy Use curtain canopy system, providing versatility for different setups. This curtain system opens horizontally and is equipped with comprehensive tensioning systems to ensure stability and ease of use.
The 16T Working Load Limit (WLL) and Stackability, utilising retractable Twist Locks, make it ideal for multiple types of heavy components and machinery, thereby reducing the risk of shifting loads and costly damage during transit.
Built to meet Australian load restraint standards, including the Performance Standards (as defined in Schedule 7 of the Heavy Vehicle (Mass, Dimension and Loading) National Regulation 2018) and AS3990:1993. With Freight-Rak®, you can transport your cargo confidently, knowing you’re covered from every legal angle.
An optional Mezz Deck is available, enhancing the structure’s functionality and optimising the space and capacity of truck decks. The entire system is protected by a heavy-duty 3-stage coating system, ensuring durability and longevity in various conditions, i.e., the option to leave freight out in the open weather before pick-up.
To further assist users, the system is backed up by comprehensive QR-coded guidance, making it easy to access instructions and support when needed.

FREIGHT-RAK® has been engineered as an effective alternative to a traditional flat rack shipping container, combining certified load restraint with modular flexibility for demanding industrial environments. Each feature is designed to support safer handling, improved efficiency and consistent compliance across transport and storage operations.

A flat rack is a transport platform used to carry oversized or heavy loads that cannot be enclosed within a standard container transport system. In industrial logistics, flat racks are commonly used for machinery, components and equipment that require open access while still meeting load restraint and compliance requirements.
The Freight-Rak® can be customised to include crane liftability upon request.
Yes, it can be customised to include a mezz deck upon request.
The FREIGHT-RAK® has undergone a heavy-duty 3-stage coating system, designed for outdoor use to increase longevity.
These flat racks are built to perform reliably over many years in open yard and site environments. Their construction supports long-term durability, helping maintain structural integrity and reducing the need for frequent replacement.
DAYWALK freight logistics solutions are manufactured from high-quality structural steel, selected to deliver strength and durability for complex industrial transport and storage applications.
Custom options available:
Load restraint curtains are available upon request. Many traditional curtain systems do not perform adequately under real-world forces, so specifications should be confirmed with the DAYWALK team.
