Xyphos Steel Pallets: Affordable and Practical
If your priority is replacing timber pallets with a more durable steel alternative without moving straight into a heavy-duty system, the Xyphos® range is a good place to start. Xyphos steel pallets are designed as a cost-effective option for industrial storage and general transport applications. They are made from reusable, recyclable steel and provide a longer-lasting alternative to timber pallets, which can break, degrade or require regular replacement. The pallets are also compatible with pallet racking, making them suitable for workshops and warehouses where storage space needs to be used efficiently. You can move small, light components from the truck to the workshop floor or pallet racking, knowing your items are protected from damage caused by broken or aged timber pallets.
The Xyphos range currently includes:
- Xyphos 4T Steel Pallet: 1160 x 1160mm
- Double Xyphos 4T Steel Pallet: 2300 x 1160mm
- Xyphos PLUS 4T Steel Pallet: 1160 x 1160mm
The standard Xyphos, in single or double width, is rated at 4T UDT. The more durable Xyphos PLUS providing to 3T transport rating (using correct rubber and restraints), with 3T for racking rating. The PLUS is an upgraded option within this range, with independent transport certification, forklift safety under rails and lashing points.
The Xyphos range is particularly suited to businesses looking for a straightforward, long-lasting replacement for timber pallets, rather than a fully adjustable component transport system.
Spartan Steel Pallets: The Cost-Effective Transport Option
Spartan Duty Steel Pallets sit in the middle of DAYWALK’s range. They provide greater strength and transport capability than the Xyphos range. It remains a cost-effective option for workshops, warehouses and mine sites. They are more durable than Xyphos and Xyphos PLUS, and they feature a steel mesh pallet for easier loading of components and restraint. The pallets also include lashing points and four-way forklift access, while selected models are compatible with pallet racking. This makes Spartan a practical option when the pallet needs to do more than simply support a component in storage. For transport operations, this option is reliable and durable. It is cost-effective and can last for multiple component cycles in harsh conditions.

Heavy Duty Steel Pallets: Maximum Strength and Flexibility
For larger, heavier, or higher-value components, DAYWALK’s Heavy Duty steel pallet range offers the greatest flexibility. It also delivers superior load capacity. These features create a modular system that can be configured around different component shapes, mounting points, and load requirements. Lashing points and rated steel grid mesh provide additional options for securing components during transport.
The Heavy-Duty Adapta range includes a broad selection of capacities and dimensions, including:

Other Heavy-Duty options are available for specific load requirements. The broader range covers applications from smaller heavy components to very large equipment. DAYWALK’s current Heavy Duty range includes load ratings from around 2T through to 12T, depending on the pallet configuration.
The major advantage of the Heavy-Duty range is not simply its higher tonnage. It is the ability to build a more complete component restraint system around the pallet with our adjustable accessories for effective load restraint. Adjustable chocks, legs and spreader plates form a secure restraint. Moreover, bolts and anti-slip products can further stabilise components such as gearboxes, motors and pumps. These solutions also support shafts and other irregularly shaped equipment.
