TIMBER PALLET NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE
The pump arrived at the FMG on a non-compliant timber pallet. The pallet was completely unsuitable for the large pump, and proved to be unstable, too small and lightweight for the transport of this high-value component. It also relied on insecure attachment points, which risks the safety of the operation — and the integrity of the pump.
Any issues resulting in damage to the pump due to this insufficient transport method, only increases the length and difficulty of downtime.
12T HEAVY DUTY STEEL PALLET SOLUTION
Due to the immediacy of the situation, DAYWALK’s off-the-shelf steel frames were the obvious choice to address the many challenges that FMG were facing with the transport of the pump.
