CHALLENGE
Existing control valve timber shipping frames were unsafe and not compliant
Global flow control solutions company Samson had challenges with control valves being sent from site for repair on old, unrated timber frames. These timber frames were deemed unsafe for transport back to sites, due to a fear of noncompliance to Chain of Responsibility legislation.
Samson needed a durable, compliant transport system that could safely transport serviced valves back to site, and be safely reused multiple times.

SOLUTION
Modular, engineered control valve transport system for peace of mind
DAYWALK collaborated with Samson to design and engineer a steel valve transport pallet with adjustable rubber lined chocks, to provide safe transport for serviced control valves. The transport solution was logistics engineered to stand up to the forces in Load Restraint Guide 2018 and came with a certified user load guide.
Preservation
In addition, the valve was wrapped with DAYWALK VCI rust inhibiting shrink film to ensure full protection from the elements while in transport and on site.
