CHALLENGE

Non-compliant valve transport

The existing timber pallet used to transport valves between site and repair during the shutdown, was non-compliant to Chain of Responsibility regulations. If something were to occur on the road and a load came loose the consequences could be significant for road-users and the company transporting the load, including large fines. The client was needing a certified and compliant transport solution for both small PSVs and large 6T units that was flexible and functional enough to meet changing demands in the business.

Valve susceptible to damage in transit

Valve is not securely fastened for logistics

Pallet isn't long-lasting or rated for transport

SOLUTION

Certified and flexible valve transport system

To meet the customer’s need, DAYWALK was able to offer a complete end-to-end logistics system incorporating Australian-made and in stock solutions that are certified and rated for transport and are coupled with a sustainable preservation solution. Our engineering team collaborated with the client to identify their exact equipment needing to be moved, then designed flexible solutions which were then transport-certified and could be assembled ready for use. Our team also provided loading and instruction guides so the user could successfully and compliantly load and transport their valves from small PSVs through to large 6T units.
