RIO TINTO was looking to solve its ongoing challenges of OH&S concerns, inefficiencies, and operational inconsistencies across sites due to outdated Chinese-sourced cages in their network, adding to replacement cage costs. Warehousing staff were also struggling to find a cage with stacking and pallet racking capabilities.
RIO TINTO decided to employ DAYWALK to produce a customised sheeted steel cages, addressing all issues and providing the extra benefits of purchasing cages specifically created for their company.
DAYWALK also implemented design feedback from the trial stages to minimise impact on Rio Tinto’s operations. Upon delivery of the cages, DAYWALK also included a product-specific QR Code, which gives the end users on-site and in the DC access to the user guide and product instructions so they can use the cages safely.
Able to be stacked up to 4 cages high and heavy-duty powdercoated to ensure durability.

Equipped with a WLL 1.2T rating to give peace of mind and engineered to fit safely on pallet racking (static storage only, uniformly distributed load).
These Sheeted Steel Cages have a 10+ year coating system complete with corporate branding and a QR Code for assest tracking.
In addition to DAYWALK's previous experiences providing multiple customers with cages, Daywalk staff implemented design feedback from the trial stages to minimise the impact on RIO TINTO’s operations.
